Wabash Co. Marriage License Bk B, p. 93, license issued for Levi Ohmart & Rebecca Arter, 29 Sep 1857, returned 1 Oct 1857. Another child of Levi & Sarah died as an infant and was buried in Cripe Cemetery. (It would be interesting to find out where Levi and Sarah's orphaned children were raised, since Sarahdied in 1870 and Levi in 1872, when the oldest was 7 years old.) Levi is listed alone in the 1870 census of Pleasant twp, Wabash Co, IN, on p. 13, enumerated 5 Aug, as household #93, next door to that of his brother Samuel. His age appears to say 30, but the microfilm is very faint, so perhaps it says 36.Place of birth is given as Oh, occupation as farmer. There is an X in the "widowed within the year" column. Levi and Rebecca are possibly the parents of the Ellen Ohmart, age 10, living with the family of Levi's parents in the 1870 census.
