William Hunt, I arrived in America in 1635 on the ship Abraham along with his parents, Rev.
Robert and Elizabeth (Edwards) from England.
William Hunt (I), "known as the Baconite" and was the principal aider and abettor of National Bacon's Rebellion. He was taken prisioner and died in prison before the rebels were reduced to their allegiance and whose property was confiscated for his conduct.

Mary Hunt daughter of William, I and Sarah Ann (prob. Harris) Hunt (m. 1st., Robert Edwards, son of Baron Robert Edwards, #77257176, grandson of Rev. Richard Blewett Edwards, #209725575 (m. Helene Griffith). Rev. Richard Blewett and Helene Griffith were also the parents of Elizabeth Edwards (m. Rev. Robert Hunt, #149915094).

Oct. 30, 1656, William Hunt (I) purchased 215 acres being a part of a greater parcel land from Rice Hoe and continued to acquire land in James City. History of Isle of Wight County, Virginia (pg. 7).
