Bio: He was the son of Joseph & Sarah (Goldstone) Meriam and the grandson of my ancestors, WILLIAM & SARAH (BURGESS) MERIAM. He married Mary Cooper on Oct. 21, 1662 in Concord.

The earliest records of Concord, "A register of the berths & burialls in Concord from the yeare 1639 untill the first month 1644 according to our account" contain the following entry, "John the sonne of Joseph miriam was borne the 9th, 5th (July), 1641."

Inscription: Here Lies Buried ye Body of Mr. John Meriam who dec'd February ye 27th Anno 1724 & in ye 85th year of his age.
