Hello Donna. I have a question for you. Over the weekend I visited the cemetery at Rockhill Mennonite Meeting, West Rockhill Twp., Bucks Co., Pa.,and noted the location ofthe tombstones of Maria Gehman (often referred to as "Mary") and her husband Jacob Oberholtzer Stauffer (spelled "Staufer" on their tombstones). They appear to be part of a Gehman family group. Next to her stone is Aaron (Clymer) Gehman (brother), then Sarah (Clymer) Gehman (sister), then father Abraham Bechtel Gehman (1781-1850) and mother Anna (Clymer) (hard to read, may be 1789-1869, not sure). So far, I have not seen anyone includeMaria Gehman (1812-1865)as one of Abraham Bechtel Gehman's children. Do you think this is a possibility? I am trying to finish my mother's family tree and not being able to findMaria (Mary) Gehman's family has been a huge disappointment. Other than that, I have been able to finda lot of info on Stauffer ancestors in the direct line to my mother and the families of their wives. Jacob O. Stauffer is inthe direct line to my mother so Maria Gehman has more importance to the family tree. Thanks for any advice you can give me regarding Maria Gehman.
