She married Alexander Mackenzie of Fraserdale in 1702. She died on 22 August 1763.

From 1702, her married name became Mackenzie. On 2 December 1702 as heir general of her father, she assumed on his death the title ‘Lady Lovat' and the Court of Session decided that she was entitled both to the title and the Lovat estates, rejecting a counter-claim by her cousin Simon, 11th Lord, the heir male.

She held the estates till 1715, when her husband's participation in the Jacobite Rising led to his attainder and forfeiture of his life-rent interest in the estate.
