Levie Walvis was een zoon van Zacharias Walvis en Fijtje Posener. Hij trouwde op 21 Maart 1912 in Amsterdam met Jansje Degen, dochter van Levie Degen en Eva Bleekveld. Het echtpaar kreeg twee kinderen: Sophia en Max, die de oorlog heeft overleefd.

Levie Walvis was a son of Zacharias Walvis and Fijtje Posener. He married on 21 March 1912 in Amsterdam Jansje Degen, daughter of Levie Degen and Eva Bleekveld. The couple had two children: Sophia and Max, who survived the war.
