Alexander Koster was a son of Hermanus Koster and Beatrix Eva de Vries. He married Flora Buitekant in 1899 in Amsterdam. She passed away in 1935. He remarried Regina Vleeschhouwer on 17 July 1940 in Amsterdam.

Uit het eerste huwelijk van Alexander Koster met Flora Buitekant overleden 21-7-1935, werden drie kinderen geboren: Femmina 21 April 1900 -1943 Auschwitz, Beatrix Eva 12 februari 1902- 1945 Muelenberg Dtl, Israël 12 februari 1905 -1943 Schoppinitz.
Femmina was gehuwd met Mozes de Wolf. Uit dit huwelijk werden drie kinderen geboren. Het hele gezin is omgekomen in de shoa.
Beatrix Eva was gehuwd met Mozes Melkman, beiden zijn omgekomen.
Israel was, voor zover bekend, ongehuwd.
