Request their marriage bans to be spoken out on 3 Sundays, and then to be married as far as there will be no legal objections, and after they have declared that they are not married and not related, in which cases a Christian marriage shouldn´t be held, they are told the commandments of marriage.
So, the last sentence shows that this is indeed their marriage, not asking for the bans as I presumed. In the first
(printed) sentence they probable mean that the Reverend requested proof that the bans were spoken on 3 Sundays.
