When Rinse went to the USA in 1909, he travelled together with his friend
Peter Talsma. ON the ship manifest papers it's written that they are going
to the dutch family Bontje (Barney) VanderValk.
In one of the census records I found out that the boys has lived with this
family for a while. Barney had a daughter called Tilly (Tetje) and Rinse
married her. Tetje died in 1925 and is buried at Fairlawn Memorial in
Bergen. I have a picture of her grave, a relative of mine had the picture.
We do not know who took that picture but the think Rinse did it himself.

We also know that Rinse died in 1951 and he was the owner of a small
painting company. We do not know when Hilda died. We think she died before
Rinse. The reason for that is that there is one story/rumour in the family
that says that after Rinse died the company was sold and the money from this
sail "had to come to Holland" according to Dutch fiscal laws in the case to
relatives where left in the overseas area.
There are no records of kids, neither with Tetje nor Hilda so probably there
are no kids and in case Hilda died before Rinse, there where no direct
relatives left in the USA.
