...He was probably the son of Lewis KEITH, who came to America from Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1730. Peter married Maria HEADE about 1789 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They had twelve children. Peter took his family to Waterford Township in Washington County, Ohio between 1811-1814. Peter founded Keithtown which was in Morgan County, Ohio until 1851, when it became part of Noble County. Peter moved to Illinois where he died in 1846. About half of the book follows the descendants of Benjamin K., Peter's eldest son...
