Sarah Thomas is of royal descent, with the line going back to Edward I, King of England, and his second wife, Margaret, daughter of Philip III, King of France. This Thomas Line is shown in Pedigree XXI of "Americans of Royal Descent" by Charles H. Browning, 1894, Vol. 1, pp 80-81. Joseph died 18 Aug 1748. They had nine children.
