Notes about Pieter Duivens

Pieter Duivens kwam via Hilversum en Schiedam naar Zevenbergen als Politieagent.
In de oorlog geïnfiltreerd bij de NSB, opgepakt en naar Spandau afgevoerd.
In 1945 tijdens de gealliërde bombardementen gevlucht en lopend naar Nederland teruggekeerd.
Tot 1948 n og als Politieagent werkzaam, daarna als kapper aan de slag (zijn grote liefde).
Kapperszaak overgenomen in Sluiskil, in 1949 getrouwd met Lies Dieleman uit Zaamslag.
Zijn ouders kwamen via Zevenbergen uiteindelijk in Sas van Gent terecht.
Pieter en Lies woonden in Sluiskil eerst aan het kanaal bij het pontje, omstreeks 1965 werd het
huis aan de Spoorstraat 87 gebouwd.
Daar vestigde Pieter zijn kapperszaak en begon Lies een drogisterij.
Pieters vader Thamis was eerst smid en later melkboer. Hij ging met een wagen langs de deur.
