Notes about Wilhelmus Johannes "Willem" Post

Als huwelijksgeschenk van wederzijdse ouders kregen zij een boerderij in de pas drooggelegde Houtrakpolder.
Door drankmisbruik van Willem kwamen ze in 1876 berooid weer terug in Velsen met twee kinderen.
Hij vertrekt zonder zijn gezin op 12-4-1880 naar Amsterdam en later Rotterdam om op 20-4-1881 weer in Velsen terug te keren.
In de tussentijd werd zijn dochter Cornelia geboren. Van Jonkheer van Boreel mochten zij wonen in het boerderijtje Schoonen berg, thans bekend als het van der Heiden huisje.
Na de dood van Willem verhuisde Keetje naar een huisje op de Hei of wel het Hanenland.

Willem Jan loopt tijdens een van zijn beroemde kroegentochten (met een van de Jonkheren van Boreel) een longontsteking op die hem uiteindelijk fataal werd in 1898.
