    Geboren 17 juli 1882 te Haarlem - Geprofest 18 juli 1937 - Priester gewijd 18 september 1937 in de Abdij van O.L.V. van Aiguebelle, Frankrijk - Overleden na het ontvangen der H. Sacramenten in de Abdij van O.L.V. d'Acey, Frankrijk, 25 november 1941 en aldaar begraven 28 november 1941.
    O, diepte der rijkdommen van Gods wijsheid ! Hoe ondoorgrondelijk zijn Uw oordelen, hoe onnaspeurlijk Uw wegen.
    Door zeer veel moeilijkheden en teleurstellingen hebt U Uw dienaar tot zijn eindideaal gebracht. Ontgoochelingen zijn hem niet bespaard.
    Lang onzeker of U het was, Die hem riep, werd Uw stem eindelijk zo duidelijk, dat hij, gedreven door Uw onweerstaanbare kracht, zich aan
    U ten offer bracht. Toen kwam Uw genade, geheel en al onverwacht en reikte hem op hoge leeftijd nog de Kroon van 't H. Priesterschap.
    Meer dan hij had durven hopen, gaaft U hem.
    Nu is alle strijd gestreden, nu mah hij 't loflied aanheffen: "De barmhartigheden van God zal ik in eeuwigheid bezingen".
    Moge hij nu door Uw goedheid, ook eeuwig in het gezelschap zijn van hen,die op aarde deelgenoot waren aan het Hogepriesterschap van Uw Zoonjezus.
