He was a Carrier- Freighter or Teamster.Jennet is his first wife. They immigrated to District of Queensland close to Fredericton, New Bruswick Canada in 1819 from Newcastleton Roxburghshire Scotland. Then moved to Ontario approx. 1836 after the death of his wife Jennett. Buried in Pond Mills Cemetery London Ontario. Had a cousin named Adam Murray (1813-1900) who taught school in Pond Mills 1833-1852.
