Notes about Joseph Diego de Tremino Y Quintanilla

According to the Testament of Jose de Ayala, signed in the Hacienda de San Nicolas del Topo on April 14, 1666, his parents Jose de Treviño and Leonor de Ayala were buried at the church at the Convent of San Francisco in Monterrey. On April 25, 1604, Joseph de Treviño was granted one "sitio de ganado mayor" and four caballerias of land in Nuevo Leon near the Rio Pesqueria Chica. The municipality known today as General Escobedo is situated on the land granted to Joseph de Treviño, and he is considered the founder of that municipality.
