Esperanza B. 'Hope' Galvan passed away December 4, 2015, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was 90.

Esperanza was born in Falls City, Texas, on January 23, 1925, to Jose C. and Vicenta (Garcia) Burciaga. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Galvan, parents, Jose and Vicenta Burciaga, stepson, Manuel R. Galvan, three sisters: Clemencia Avila; Petra Lopez and Juanita Cantu.

Survivors include daughters, Janie Vargas (Hector) of Odem, Texas, and Joy Macias (Ernie) of Sinton, Texas, sisters, Maria de Jesus 'Suse' Garza of San Antonio, Texas, and Maria Nunez of Odem, Texas, eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Sunday, December 13, 2015, 3:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 14, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Odem with Father Isaias Estepa as celebrant. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.

Arrangements and care entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton.
