Martin M. Guzman, 73, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Portland, Texas. He was born January 30, 1938.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tomas and Dolores Guzman and also his wife Defilda Guzman.

He is survived by his daughters Janie (John) Gonzales, Sylvia G. (Ermilo) Navarro; and two sons, Danny (Cindy) Guzman, Martin B. (Stephanie) Guzman. He is also survived by his first wife, Aida S. Guzman; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gela Hernandez, Dolores Blanco, Janie Jamie, Diana Villarreal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to his caregivers and Blue Sky Hospice and all the nurses that cared for him. A special thanks to his caregiver Natalie Cantu whom shared 4 years with a loving and caring heart towards our Papi. Thanks also to Shannon Graf for your special dedication.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 ' 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Portland with interment to follow at the Taft Memorial Park in Taft, Texas.
