Báthory Gábor fejedelem Simándi Kenézy Miklósnak, a borsjenői vár familiárisának és féltestvérének Simándi Szaniszló Jánosnak címeres nemeslevelet és Borsjenőn a Hosszú-utcában egy házat adományoz, mely adománylevél 1609, július 1-n Zaránd és Bereg vármegyében hírdettek ki. Címer: Kék mezőben, zöld pázsiton, természetes színű daru orrában írótoll, egyik lábával gömbölyű kövön áll, másik fölemelt lábában kivont kardot tart. Sisakdísz: nincsen. Takarók: Kék-arany, vörös ezüst.

Kenézy (Simándi.) A család Bereg vármegyéből származik, de idővel Szatmár és Hajdú vármegyékbe is áttelepedett. Miklós várnagy és Pál 1608-ban kaptak czímeres nemeslevelet, melyet Bereg vármegyében hirdettek ki. A család tagjai közül a legtöbben katonáskodtak. Csatár, ismert nevű költő, jelenleg győri pénzügyigazgató-helyettes, atyja Lajos és nagyatyja Pál ref. lelkészek, az előbbi a görög, latin, héber, olasz, angol és franczia nyelv oktatója Debreczenben, majd lelkész és nemzetőrkapitány. Czímer: Kékben, aranygolyón álló darú, jobb lábával kardot tart. Sisakdísz a darú, karddal. Takarók: kékarany, vörösezüst.
