Notes about Isabella Hampton

{geni:about_me} Extract from the Papal Letters cited in Yorkshire Antiquities,
Yorkshire Archaeological Society, 1907,p.243)
1354 July 30 Avignon
"Confirmation with exemplification at the request of Richard de Baskerville,
knt, and Isabella his wife, of the diocese of Hereford, of the letters
issued by Clement VI, 2 Non. Jul., anno 3, ruling in the case of John Earl of
Warenne and Joan de Barro, that dispensation of the marriage of persons related
in the fourth degree of kindred shall hold good if they are related in the
fourth and third degrees"

This may imply that Isabella was a widow when Richard married her, and that an awkwardly close relationship was found between her previous and current husband. (Yes, canon law '''was''' concerned with non-genetic relationships as well as the obvious genetic ones.)

The next question, of course, is: was she a Hampton by birth and a Caveley/Paveley by marriage, or vice versa?
