Jannie is geboren op 30-10-1928 in het huis staande op de Jan van Galenstraat 10 in Wormerveer. Haar vader was van beroep Machinist.

Op 7 April 1929 is Jannie pas Nederlands Hervormd gedoopt. Op haar doopakte staat te lezen dat Jannie op 31 oktober 1928 is geboren. Dus heb ik de geboorteakte opgevraagd, maar gelukkig daar staat echt 30-10-1928.Het zal in die tijd wel een foutje geweest zijn. Haar officiële naam voluit is Jannetje Martine van Enkhuizen. Haar moeder heette Geesje de Jonge

Ergens begin jaren dertig waren ze verhuisd van de Jan van Galenstraat naar de Ruijterkade waar op 18-5-1936 Cornelis van Enkhuizen (Ome Kees)is geboren.

Jannie raakte haar persoonsbewijs kwijt in de oorlog en moest dus een nieuwe aanvragen. Toen zijn de Duitsers aan het zoeken gegaan, omdat ze dachten dat Jannie joods was. Jannie had ook een joodse uitstraling. Enwaar kwam dat nou vandaan. Bij haar stamvader Samuel van Enkhuizen (del Pinto), waarvan gezegd werd in de familie een Portugese jood die geboren is in Suriname. De Duitsers hebben dat gelukkig niet zo ver terug kunnen kijken. Samuel was al in 1820 overleden.

Inmiddels weten we dat Samuel een mulat was, dat betekend dat zijn moeder een negerin was en zijn vader een blanke of Indiaan. Zijn moeder heette Johanna en was een Carboegerin wat weer betekent, omdat de moeder van Johanna een negerin is en haar vader waarschijnlijk een Indiaan. De moeder van Johanna heette Princes de vader is nog onbekend. Word nog verder gezocht. Allen zijn vrij gemaakt in opdracht van Nicolaas van Enkhuizen en uitgevoerd door Sara Lemmers een zeer rijke vrouw en Samuel kreeg een speciale behandeling en werd meegenomen naar Nederland. Tante Jannie Hos de vrouw van Kees van Enkhuizen vertelde een keer aan mij dat Samuel als klein jongetje is meegenomen door een hoge heer als lijfeigene. Na heel veel onderzoek is er uitgekomen dat Samuel inderdaad meegenomen is door de Heer Coetse die getrouwd was met een dochter van een zuster van Sara Lemmers. Hij is met de boot op 8 april 1778 vertrokken uit Paramaribo. Op diezelfde boot zat ook Peter Stuyvesant met zijn gezin. De moeder Johanna en Oma Princes van Samuel waren huisslavinnen vanSara Lemmers en Nicolaas van Enkhuizen, die in 1750 gingen trouwen metelkaar en ze woonden op de Gravenstraat 10 Paramaribo, waar Samuel is geboren. Dus onze roots ligt in Suriname. Nicolaas van enckhuizen is geboren in Amsterdam 1703. Dus ja de achternaam Enkhuizen zou nog daadwerkelijk van iemand vandaan kunnen komen die ooit is geboren in Enkhuizenof Enckhuijsen zoals je dat vroeger schreef. En dan krijg je van Enkhuizen. Wat ik wel weet is dat Nicolaas van Enckhuijsen zijn vader Jacobuit Amsterdam kwam en chirurgijn was van beroep en een plantage genaamd Oranibo had.
