Found two different marriages for Thomas Colegate. Jane Munster and Jane May. Both from Kent area. Both born same year. However, marriage date for Jane May is 1825 which is after the birth of their first child by 4 years..

I found the death of a Jane Colegate in 1822 so I think there is a possibility that she is Jane Munster and since she had a son in 1822 that she could have died in childbirth. This would all match with Thomas marrying Jane May in 1825 and there being a record of a child born soon thereafter. Will add to record.
