Notes about James PITTS

1841 aged 30, living on Wet Lane with his wife Ann 30, children Charlotte 10, Emma 8, Samuel 6 , George 3 and Jane 10 months. Sarah Low, his wife's sister, seems to be living in the same household with the family of James Baynes. 1851 aged 40, living at Wet Lane with his second wife Sarah 30 and daughters Charlotte 20, Jane 11, and Lavinia 1. Ann Low 6 has been entered as a daughter but in 1861 she is entered as a niece, which makes more sense as his first wife was Ann Low. 1861 aged 50, living in Pirton village with his wife Sarah 50, daughters Jane 20, Lavinia 11 , Ellen 8, Elizabeth 5, and a niece Ann 16 (surname illegible, but probably Low). 1871 aged 60, living at Little Green with his daughters, Ellen 19, Elizabeth 16, married daughter Lavinia Reynolds 21, son in law Frederick Reynolds and grandson Harry Reynolds 1. Wife away from home. 1881 aged 72, living in Pirton with his daughters Jane 40 and Elizabeth 25, also grandchildren Ann Pitts 9, James Pitts 6 and Alice Pitts 1.
