daughter and heir of Thomas Beckingham of Buscot (formerly Berkshire, now Oxfordshire). The Beckinghams held the manors of Philpots Court at Buscot, and of Upton Russels, formerly in Blewbury, latterly Upton: both came through Mary to her husband Thomas Windsor, and passed successively to three of their sons.
