1841 aged 20, living at High Street, Clophill with parents, Samuel and Mary Stimson, and six siblings. 1851 aged 30, living at Great Street, East Side, Clophill with parents, Samuel and Mary Stimson, two siblings and nephew John Stimson. 1861 aged 40, living at Church Street, Clophill with her husband, John Bottoms, and children Sophia, George, John and niece Mary Stimson. 1881 widow aged 59, living at 35 Barnett Grove, Battersea with her married son and daughter in law, George and Mary Bottoms, and grandchildren George, Mabel and Alice Bottoms. 1891 Sarah has two children living with her, Ella Stimson 22, dressmaker born Clophill, and Leonard Stimson 10 born Clophill, listed as granddaughter and grandson and appear to be the children of Sarah's illegitimate daughter Sophia.
