Worked together with his brother Charlie as plasterers and Tom Cook was their labourer. Was known to frequent "The Alec" (Alexandra Pub, 33 Commerce Road, Wood Green) and his wife would send his daughter Ivy to fetch her Dad for dinner, and while waiting for him, he would buy her a rice cake. Memories from Paul Firmin, partner of Edmund's great grand daughter Maria Ross.
