1841 aged 19, living at Goose Green, East Peckham with parents, William and Elizabeth Golding, and five siblings.

1863 When George Golding built Reed House in Plaxtol village it was out in the country, surrounded by fields. He built it for the occupation of his brother in law, Richard Stevens Thomson, who moved there from Ducks Farm in 1865. George also owned the seven cottages in Church Row, Plaxtol and let them out to tenants. When he died in 1883 he left Church Row to his brother Thomas Golding of Tree House, who continued to own it until 1930.
