1679, May 12. He was fined 20s., for not attending jury.
1679, Jul. 1. Taxed 3s., 1½d.
1680, Mar. 12. His fine of 20s., for not attending Jury of General Court of Trials, was remitted by the Assembly, he having had no warning by the General Sergeant.
1687, Sep. 6. Kings Town. Taxed 9s., 4½d.
1709, Jun. 28. He and twenty-six others bought the tract called Swamptown, being part of the vacant lands in Narragansett, ordered sold by the Assembly.
1721, Mar. 20. In a deposition at this date he calls his age about seventy-seven years.
1722, Oct. 29. His wife Elizabeth, in testifying as to what age James Wilson would have been had he lived, calls her own age seventy years, but other evidence makes her not quite so old.
1725, Mar. 16. Will—proved 1725, Dec. 20. Exx. wife Elizabeth. To son John, 100 acres in South Kingstown. To son Samuel, south half of homestead. To sons John and Samuel, 135 acres in Westerly. To son Joseph, land in Shannock Purchase, Westerly. To wife Elizabeth, dwelling house, barn,
orchards, &c, and north half of homestead, for life, and then to sons John and Samuel equally, and these two sons to be at equal charge in maintaining daughter Tabitha Tift, supporting her for life. To daughters Elizabeth Carpenter, Esther Mumford and Mary Newton, each £20, paid by son John.
To daughters Mercy Tift and Susanna Crandall, £20 each. To children of Sarah Witter, deceased, £20. To daughter Mercy Teft a further sum of £30. To granddaughter Sarah Witter, £10 at eighteen. To grandson Daniel Tift, son of Peter, deceased, £20, if he lives in my family till of age. To wife Elizabeth, all movables not given away, at her disposal to children.
