!OBITUARY: Glen Elder Sentinel, 23 Nov 1895:
"It is with heartfelt sympathy that we chronicle the fact that the dreaded
archer of death has again visited the John Taylor home in Walnut Creek township
and taken away the mother, Mrs. Matilda Taylor; her death occured last Sunday.
The deceased was 38 years old and leaves six small children, the oldest being
only about 12 years old. Her husband, John Taylor, died some two years ago.
It is a fortunate thing for the children that they are left in splendid
financial circumstances, their parents being considered quite well-to-do. The
funeral was held last Monday at the residence and the remains were intered in
the Maomi cemetery, Rev. Geo. Mancha officiating. We are informed that Ben
Davis, a brother of the deceased, will manage the farm and care for the
children."
