Notes about Martha Whitson

Martha Whitson who m. Benjamin Canby was born c. 1724 on Long Island (in the Bethpage-Flushing area). She was the daughter of Thomas Whitson and Deborah Feake. Her father was the son of thomas Whitson & Martha Jones. Martha's father moved to Hunterdon Co., NJ in 1747. Martha m. Benjamin Canby Oct. 5, 1752. I am not sure who the parents of Benjamin were. Benjamin was the name of the Canby immigrant ancestor and every generation had a Benjamin. Look in the Buckingham Friends Meeting records (bucks Co.) most of the Canbys are there. Benjamin and Martha's marriage record might be in the Kingswood Friends Meeting records in Hunterdon Co., NJ. and that would give Benjamin's parents.
