Figaro Pasquale: De bekendste kapper, neen BARBIER in Amsterdam, misschien wel in heel Nederland.
Hij is geen priester geworden, zoals zijn ouders het graag hadden gezien, maar zieleherder voor het hoogste op aarde "De menselijke kruin". (met knipoog naar Ger Kraaij). Vele bekende Nederlanders uit het zakenleven, de kunstwereld en de media kon hij tot zijn klantenkring (Pasqualisten) rekenen.
Hij hoort zeker thuis in de lange rij personen die iets voor het Begijnhof betekenen. Ook voor mijn boek over het Begijnhof Amsterdam heeft hij in "zijn" Begijnensteeg samen met Piet Romer leuke reclame gemaakt.
Regelmatig heeft hij kontakt gehad met de bewoonsters en verzorgde regelmatig bijeenkomsten in "Zijn" steeg en ook in de kapel was hij regelmatig te vinden.
Sinds 2011 was hij erg aan het sukkelen met zijn gezondheid, even kwam hij eind augustus 2011 weer naar zijn zaak om de Pasqualisten weer te verzorgen, maar de slopende ziekte werd hij niet meer de baas en in de vroege ochtend van woensdag 30 januari 2013 overleed hij. In kleine kring is hij gecremeerd en op de dag dat hij 78 jaar zou zijn geworden was er voor iedereen gelegenheid om vanaf 16 uur in zijn Kapperszaak in de Begijnensteeg elkaar als Pasqualisten te ontmoeten, waarbij ook de mogelijkheid was om, (zoals Figaro Pasquale dit zo graag had gewild) een schenking te doen aan een nog nader uit te werken Ambachtelijk doel.
