Er wurde am 6. April 1917 als Sohn von William und Clara Belle Holmes Reif in Carreollton geboren und war am 26. April 1938 in Carrollton mit der ehemaligen Helen Hartman verheiratet.

Er hinterlässt seine Frau und zwölf Kinder: Mrs. Clari Holliday aus Piasa, Charles aus Wisconsin, Harold aus dem ländlichen Eldred, John aus dem ländlichen Carrollton, Private Harvey Reif, stationiert in Ariz- Gene, Clarence, Ona, Nancy, Verna Kay, Linda Sue, Michael und Chris, alle zu Hause und fünf Enkelkinder.

Elmer C. Reif Dies, Rites To Be Held Today CARROLLTON - Elmer Charles Reif, 52, of Carrollton died at 2:40 a.m. Friday at the Cedar Knoll Nursing Home in Greenfield. Mr. Reif was employed by Olin Mathieson Corp. but had been disabled for some time.

He was born in Carreollton April 6, 1917, son of William and Clara Belle Holmes Reif and was married to the former Helen Hartman in Carrollton April 26, 1938.

He leaves his wife, twelve children: Mrs. Clari Holliday of Piasa, Charles of Wisconsin, Harold of rural Eldred, John of rural Carrollton, Private Harvey Reif, stationed in Ariz- Gene, Clarence, Ona, Nancy, Verna Kay, Linda Sue, Michael and Chris, all at home and five grandchildren.

He is also survived bv brother, James WiUiam Reif of Bethalto; a sister, Mrs. Verna Ruth Witt of Eldred; his stepmother, Mrs. Clara Reif of Carrollton and a stepsister, Mrs. Juanita Decker, also of Carrollton.
