Directeur Mastbergen van het Electriciteitsbedrijf PEN koopt op 12 september 1935 bij garage Van Zalinge voor f 150,- een tweedehands auto voor de vrije tijd: een Chrysler 62 Tourer uit 1928. Met een zelfgebouwde caravan tourt hij in de dertiger jaren met de familie door Europa.
Tijdens de oorlog wordt de auto gedeeltelijk gedemonteerd en daarom ongemoeid gelaten door de Duitsers, en opgeslagen in een boerenschuur.
Zoon Simon erft de auto, kenteken ST-15-21, in 1960 en in 1991 erft zijn dochter Minous de auto. [Automobiel Klassiek, september 1998]
