WILLIAM WRIGHT Corbyn (William B., Joseph P., William, Philip, James, Clement). b. Jan 21, 1843, at Glastonbury, Connecticut He received his education at St. Paul's College, Palmyra, Mo., but he did not graduate. Later he studied for deacon's orders in the Episcopal Church at Macon, Mo., under Rev. Dr. Talbot, now bishop of Central Pennsylvania. He was ordained deacon at St. Jame's Church, Macon, March 29, 1878, by the late bishop of Missouri, the Right Rev. Dr. Robertson, As deacon, he assisted the Rector of St. James' Church, Macon, and later taught in St. Andrew's Military Academy at Seguin, Texas, and did missionary work at several places in that region. After a course of preparation in the theological department of Griswold College at Davenport, Scott County, Iowa, he was advanced to priest's orders by the Right rev. Dr. Perry, late bishop of Iowa, in Grace Cathedral, Davenport, June 6, 1886. His charges were Dennison and Vail, Iowa; Brooklyn, Iowa; Jefferson, Ohio; Tower, Minn.; and East Plymouth, Ohio, where he labored for over thirteen years. in 1892 he was married to Sarah Louise Small of Brooklyn, Iowa, the dau. of William Edward and Mary (Chick) Small; she was b. Oct 21, 1858, in Iowa City, Iowa. No children. He d. of typhoid pneumonia, April 12, 1905, at East Plymouth, Ohio."
