LifeSketch: Mrs. John Biesbrock, a resident of this vicinity for twenty eight years passed away at 4:30 Monday afternoon at the Hawarden Hospital. Mrs. Biesbrock had been a sufferer of diabetes and Bright's disease for a number of years and for the past ten weeks had been bedfast. She was removed to the hospital Monday night but it was known at that time that the end was drawing near and she grew weaker gradually until death claimed her. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Reformed Church at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. A. Folkema in charge. Interment will be in Grace Hill cemetery. Wilhelmina Heindyk was born at Rotterdam, Holland December 1 1873 and passed away January 31, 1940 at the age of 65 years and 2 months. She grew to womanhood in her native land and was married to John Biesbrock, November 12, 1895. They continued to live in Holland thirteen years after they were married but in 1908 they came to America, locating at Rock Valley, where they lived but two months. They then moved to Sioux Center where they lived until 1911 when they came to Hawarden and since then she has made her home in this vicinity continuously. Nine children were born to this union, three of whom preceded her in death. The children who with the husband, survive her, are Nicholas, Andrew and Joe Biesbrock of Hawarden; Mrs. Helen Bedford of Chicago, and William and Jacob Biesbrock of Bradley, Michigan. She also leaves one sister in Holland and 17 grandchildren. Mrs. Biesbrock was reared in the Christian Reformed Church and in the former years when her health permitted she was a faithful attendant of her church in this city. She was a true Christian woman and a kind and loving mother. During her long illness she was a most patient sufferer and she was ever thoughtful of those who cared for her. Death came as a sweet release from her suffering. The Independent (Hawarden, Iowa) 1/31/1940
