"George Parker Teter, a fourth generation resident of St. Clair County, Ill., moved his family to Geuda Springs in Summer County, Kansas.....Besides farming and working in a flour mill at Drury, Kansas, George worked the MKT Railroad. Another move was prompted by the opening of Kiowa, Comanche, Apache lands in Oklahoma. George and Rachel Homesteaded in Caddo County near Sickles. As soon as possible they built a house with a large living room where church services were held, Paptist and Methodists on alternating Sundays. It was in this room that Sarah Edith Teter and Henry Ellison McWilliams were married 1 October 1908....."
