Samuel Smith was recorded in the Visitation of Wiltshire in 1623 as the son of Henry Smith and Jane Anger[1].
Samuel 'Smith' was baptised on 21 Oct 1607 at Baydon, Wiltshire, son of Henry[2].
He was apprenticed to John Beale, a Stationer[3]: "29 May 1620 - Having presented Richard Smith (bound for nine years on 23 Mar 1612, to William Hall) for his freedom, J.B. bound his brother as his fourth apprentice - Samuel Smith, son of Henry Gentleman of Baydon, Wiltshire, for eight years from midsummer. (Samuel was never free)."
Samuel was not recorded in the will of his father, Henry Smith of Baydon, Wiltshire, the will made on 06 Aug 1631 and proved on 08 Feb 1631/1632[4].
