Hij is getrouwd met JOHANE PIERCE.
Zij zijn getrouwd op 8 oktober 1593 te Seal, Sevenoaks, Kent, hij was toen 22 jaar oud.
Kind(eren):
William appears to have had 8 children between 1594 and 1608, including 2 Johns (1597 and 1602), there is no trace of a burial for the first John, but this could have occurred in another parish, or just been missed.
There could of course have been 2 Williams with 2 seperate families (but no other candidates for the second William) so assuming only one, then our John is likely to be the one baptised in 1602.
May have been the brother of Henry Cogger "householder" who married Frisworth Wood in 1606 and died 1608 - two of William's children were named Frisworth and Henry.
William's wife may have been Margaret Whitinge who married a William Cogger at Ryarsh, Kent on 12 May 1594, the Margaret Cogger (nee Whitninge), widow who died 1638, however William's first child was born only 4 months after this date so it is more probable that he was the William Cogger who married Johane Pierce at Seal in 1593.
There is no record of any son named William, but the William Cogger "householder" who married Marie Topsell in 1630 and died in 1648 might have been his. [His son, William, born 1644, may have been the William Cogger who died in Sundridge in 1679] SOURCE Simon R Hill
From West Kent Quarter Sessions Records (QM/SB/135), 22 Dec 1596 - FILE - Deposition of William Cogger of Sevenoaks, borsholder, regarding the theft of mutton by Wm. Chaplen from John Hunt [very detailed account], taken at Knole before Samson Lennard - ref. QM/SB/135 - date: 22 Dec 1596 Could this be the William Cogger b. Sevenoaks 1572, son of William & Jone? They had 8 children between 1594 and 1608.
