"Charles N. S. Luckey
"Charles N. S. Luckey, the eldest son of J. W. and Elizabeth Williams Luckey
was born at Glen Elder, Kansas, on July 25, 1873, and passed away at his home
here on January 24, 1946, at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 29 days. He
lived his entire life in the vicinity of Glen Elder.
"On August 26, 1896, he was united in marriage to Flora Ellen Moore and to
this union four children were born: Lillian M. Cave and Marill F. Luckey both
of Kansas City, Mo.; Theodore O. Luckey Denver, Colorado and Christine C.
Newquist of Glen Elder, Kansas.
"His wife, his parents, a sister Mildred Moore, a brother Leslie Luckey, and
a grandson Darrell Newquist preceded him in death.
"He leaves to mourn his passing, his children and four grandsons, one step
grand-daughter and one step grandson, his stepmother of Oregon, three half
sisters, Emma Lund and Laura Deeds, both of Glen Elder, Kansas, and Almeda
Hawley of Woodburn, Oregon, and a half brother, Russell Luckey, of Silverton,
Oregon several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
"Pall bearers were two sons-in-law, Earl Cave and Arthur Newquist and four
nephews, Vivian Moore, Richard Moore, Lewis Luckey and Claire Lund."

"Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Newquist and Kenneth, W.G. Newquist and August, Miss
Helen Newquist, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Newquist, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Newquist and Miss Nelle Newquist attended the funeral."
