In the 1891 census, John is still alive at 85 years of age. John jnr, Lucy S,
George, Evelyn, Ada, Jane and Anna are all unmarried and are living with their father. Lucy S (46 years) is described as a hospital nurse, John jnr (45 years) is a cashier and George (43 years) is a druggist. Evelyn (41), Ada (39), Jane (35) and Anna (32) all have no occupation and are also living with their father at 9 Midland Square, Great Crosby, Lancashire.
Annie Hyams, a 15 year old domestic servant, also lives with them.

John, Anna, Catherine, Jane and Robert went to Liverpool England, probably between 1837 and the 1841 census while William George pursued his medical studies in Belfast, Dublin and London. William's home address when he finally qualified was Liverpool. John jnr was a ship builder and merchant.... obviously a very wealthy family. Most of his siblings didn't have to work as they had independent incomes and they lived all together in some of the affluent areas north of Liverpool. None of them appeared to go back to Dundalk. John (1806) married Lucy Isaac from Georgia USA. Lucy's father, Robert Isaac, also a merchant died in the US in 1827. Lucy's mother, Lucy Scarborough came back to LIverpool with her three daughters. John (1806) was an importer of American cotton for the mills of Liverpool and Manchester and may have known Robert Isaac. Isaac's company had an office in Liverpool.

John (1846) appears to have gone into the family business of importing cotton while William (1847) and George (1848) even spent some time in Australia. They followed their uncle, Dr William George Getty, to the Bathurst district of NSW in the 1860s. They opened a pharmacy in Bathurst but this was an unsuccessful enterprise and they then returned to Liverpool.
