Obituary of A.H. Barricklow
Arlie Henry Barricklow of Coffeen died after an illness of a week, while visiting his sister, Mrs. Pearl Wright, at her home, No 1270 Dickinson Avenue, Decatur. He was born in Montgomery County, April 5, 1872 (sb 1882) and died January 29, 1834 at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 24 days. He was the youngest son of William H. and Lizzie (File) Barricklow, who died several years ago. He spent the greater part of his life on a farm near Chapman, and lived during the last years of his life with his brother, Dora Barricklow. He was of an honest, upright disposition, and was liked and respected by all who knew him. He was willing to do all he could, at all times for his friends , and bore ill will to none.
His health failed gradually during the last two years, and during his illness he spoke of his hopes of a better world. He leaves to mourn his passing, two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wright, of Decatur and Mrs. Grace Snyder of Coffeen, who were both with him during his last sickness, and one brother, Dora Barricklow, of Coffeen, as well as three half brothers, L.A. Barricklow, Coffeen, J.H. Barricklow, Moorefield, Ark., and C.O. Haven, of Woodriver. One half brother Tornie Haven and Anabel Barricklow, an infant sister, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at Chapman, Wednesday, January 31, at one o'clock and the remains were laid to rest in Glendale cemetery at Fillmore
