dit is Aart Simons. Destijds een bekend figuur in de gemeente. Geb. in 1836 en overleden in 1934. Lid van Burgelijk Armenbestuur en tot zijn 90 ste jaar was hij achitect van de gemeente. Bekend van hem was dat hij tijdens de kerkbrand in 1932zijn naast de kerk gelegen woning niet wilde verlaten, daar hij zei dat de toren zó was gebouwd dat deze niet op zijn huis kon vallen. En dat gebeurde ook niet. Samen op de foto met zijn achterachterkleinzoon Frans G. Bottenberg.
