Waarschijnlik omdat het echtpaar een Chitsen-Winkel (Sitsenwinkel) wilde beginnen, moest op 19 november 1793 vastgesteld worden dat ze in gemeenschap van goederen waren getrouwd en op dat moment in de Lange Leidsche Dwarsstraat tussen de Kruisstraat en de Spiegelgracht woonden.
Akte was opgesteld door de Curator Gerardus Frantzen en bevindt zich bij het Stadsarchief "Archief van de Commissarissen van de Desolate Boedelkamer" Toegangsnummer 5072 Hoofdstuk 1.2.8.2. Verbalen over afhandeling van Boedels inv 5210.
Op 14 December 1810 hebben ze een Huis en Erf verkocht; staande in de Nieuwe Leliestraat Noordzijde aan Willem Tripples. Zie Stadsarchief Amsterdam Transportakten vóór 1811.
In de Staatscourant van 23 mei 1848 staat diverse malen een bericht van notaris G. Schimmel dat ten eerste male tot 18 april en ten tweede male tot 23 mei 1848 en ten derde male tot 15 juni 1848 zich crediteuren zich kunnen melden, waarna tot uitbetaling zal worden overgegaan. Carolus Leonardus woonde tot zijn overlijden op de Oude Zijds Voorburgwal 24 bij de Agnietenstraat staat ook in dit bericht. (Zie www.kranten.kb.nl)

In 1814 staat in het jaarverslag van het Instituut voor Wetenschappen op bladzijde 12 een verslag van de Octrooiaanvraag van Carolus Leonardus Zuiderhoudt voor een uitvinding van Varkenswol, te gebruiken als vulmiddel.
