Haar naam komt uit de ondertrouwakte van Anna, waar zij geassisteerd wordt door "haar moeder" Catharina.

Op 25-1-1733 wordt in de Westerkerk een Catrina gedoopt, dochter van Jan Alewijn (wsh. een broer van Willem! - getrouwd met Dirkje Olfers) en Maria Tielemans. Getuigen zijn Evert Alewijn en Johanna Wemmers.

Echter in haar ondertrouwdocument uit 1772 staat dat ze 32 jaar oud is. Ze moet dus in 1739/1740 geboren zijn. Klopt op 18-5-1740
