In 1731 wordt er wel een Jan Proper gedoopt, maar die blijkt (snel daarna?) te zijn overleden (obiit) (image 18 Kerkeraadshandelingen) Ouders Ernst Lubbersz Proper en Geertje Jans Paul

Bij dopen gereformeerd en katholiek 1733 geen Jan te vinden. Ook huwelijk niet in Ransdorp (ook niet bij Gaarder)  te vinden. Hij blijkt in Durgerdam te zijn gedoopt (image 91)

Jan Proper en Maritje de Groot overlijden op dezelfde dag. Jan kennelijk als eerste. Wat zou er gebeurd zijn? In 1775 was er een grote watersnood in Waterland. Echter die zou op 15 november hebben plaatsgevonden, 2 weken na hun overlijden.

12-7-1761 wordt een zoon gedoopt: Cornelis. Ook hier heet ze Maritje Hans de Groot. (image 50)
