Notes about Elisabeth Durie

Naam: Durier - ook wel du Rieu, Du Rie, du Rij

In april 1758 werd een contract gesloten tussen haar (als weduwe Jan de Bie) enerzijds en haar zoons Gideon de Bie en Jan de Bie anderzijds. Hierin stond dat zij haar huis en erf (getaxeerd op Fl.800) en apotheek, chirurgijnswinkel, medicijnen etc (getaxeerd op Fl. 372) zou overdragen aan Gideon. Deze zou aan haar dan jaarlijks Fl. 200 uitkeren en zorgen voor "bequame inwoning" in Wassenaar. Ook stelde Gideon zich garant voor de opvoeding en kleding van zijn minderjarige zusters en broeders, uitgezonderd alleen voor Josua de Bie. De verplichting van zijn broer Jan behelste alleen zijn moeder zoveel mogelijk de "behulpzame hand te bieden".
Genoemde Josua werd geboren op 23.11.1738 en was dus bijna 20jr. Voor hem staan zoon Abraham en schoonzoon Jan den Dooren garant.
