De familie van Weeghel is oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit laag Zuthem (gemeente Heino).De boerderij 't Weegel bestaat nog steeds.Waarschijnlijk was de stamvader (Esien op 't Wegele) pachtboer en hebben de nazaten de naam van de boerderij overgenomen.Van de vele manieren waarop de naam werd geschreven is alleen de naam van Weeghel overgebleven.In deze stamboom zijn vele connecties met de families Blom,Boeve, Borst, Esselink, de Haan, Halfwerk, Hoogers, Mensink, van Olst, van Raalte, de Weerdt en van der Ziel.
Mijn dank gaat uit naar Hendrik Visscher,die veel nuttige informatie heeft gegeven, en naar vele verre verwanten, die allerlei informatie hebben gegeven.
Mijn moeder was een Veneman,reden voor mij om ook die stamboom na te zoeken.
