Leonardus Johannes Castelein beschrijft in zijn handgeschreven familiekroniek (geschreven in 1942 en 1943) de akte van boedelscheiding d.d. 01-05-1821, die hij onder zich bleek te hebben. Naast een bakkerij exploiteerde dit echtpaar ook een handel in grutterwaren en manufacturen. De bakkerszaak zou volgens de stukken rond 1790 door Gerrit Jacobsz. Castelein (Castelijn) zijn overgenomen, waarbij behoorden 2 morgen 800 roeden aan teelakkers en een later gekocht stuk tuin- of teelland van 1 morgen 582 roeden, waarvan de kooppenningen nog niet waren betaald. Verder waren er onder andere een vordering jegens Pieter Kraan van f 100 en een aandeel in de onverdeelde nalatenschap van Cornelis Kraan, bestaande uit een hypotheek op een huis met landerijen in de Vlietpolder onder Woubrugge ten laste van de eigenaar Pieter Voorbij.
