Jacobus Gerhardus van Niftrik was Ingenieur Industrieel te Putte N.Br. Job was direkteur van N.V. Fabriek voor Persplastiek Gebr. Van Niftrik eerst te Putte (N.Br.), later van een zusterfabriek te Bergen op Zoom. Hij was opzichter van de eerstgenoemde fabriek. Hij had electrotechniek gestudeerd in Parijs en behaald daar zijn diploma ( Ing.Dipl. E.N.E.,Paris).
Job en Betty waren betrokken bij het ondergronds verzet tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog, bekend onder de naam tante Betty en oom Job. Hen werd de "Bronzen Leeuw" 1948 toegekend.
