Notes about Adriaen Jacobi Gastelaers

Nog voor zijn huwelijk, in 1677 wordt Adriaen beschuldigd van moord. Hij zou iemand met een bierpint op het hoofd hebben geslagen. Hij wordt gelukkig vrijgesproken.

Adriaen hertrouwt op 19 november 1690 te Princenhage met Cathalijn Jan van Woensel, uit Princenhage, wonende op de Beek. Zij is overleden tussen 27 november 1708 en 4 juni 1709. Zij is weduwe van Jan Laureijs Adriaenssen met wij zij te Princenhage op 4 november 1668 trouwde. Zij maakt op 14 september 1702 en in 1707 haar testament, evenals in 1708.

Adriaen kocht op 24 januari 1710 voor f1100,- een huis aan de Groenstraat op de Beek onder Princenhage van Huybreght en Anneken Jan Marijnissen. In 1711 verkoopt hij 5 gemeten beemden in de polder van Wijmeren onder Princenhage.

In 1715 wordt hij verbannen omdat hij verantwoordelijk wordt gehouden voor de dood van Jacob Willem Aertsen. Deze heeft hij op 7 oktober 1715 in een herberg met een riek door zijn hoofd gestoken. Er zijn echter geen getuigen. Adriaen wordt op 13 februari 1717 voor de rest van zijn leven verbannen uit de Baronie van Breda.

Lang heeft hij daarna niet meer geleefd, want op 17 september 1717 wordt zijn nalatenschap verdeeld tussen zijn dochters. Hierbij erft Adriana de stede, huis, schuur, boomgaard, driesen, zaailand en erven tussen de Groenstraat en de Bruynstraat.
